Discover Belfort with the tourist train! Get on board and let yourself be charmed by the beauty of the city for an hour.
What makes it even better? A recorded commentary is available in English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish and Italian throughout the tour.
The departure point
From the Arsenal car park where you get on board faces Bartholdi’s Lion, the symbol of the city. Passing by Place d’Armes, you will be astonished by the pink sandstone of the Saint-Christophe cathedral. And that is only the beginning!
Take a break
Once you have arrived in the main courtyard of the Citadel, why not take a break? The driver waits as you enjoy a 360° view from the panoramic terrace above the History Museum, accessible with the Pass Multisites. In summer have a drink or try out a plate of local food at the Café-Restaurant of the Citadel.
Choo-choo time to hop on again!
And now to Porte de Brisach, old entry gate to Belfort which bears a sun, emblem of King Louis XIV, and his motto Nec Pluribus Impar (not unequal to many). The visit continues on Place de la République located in the heart of the Haussmannien district. The train then takes you along the Vauban quay. En route, you can admire the Fréry market and its cathedral-like shopping hall.
Getting close to arrival… You go across Place de la Révolution Française, seat of the local government. And back on the Arsenal car park, don’t forget to take a selfie with the famous big cat!
