Pataquès
Details
A dusty woman in a wedding dress has been waiting for her husband for three thousand years. According to legend, he should have come to the Underworld to fetch her. But he preferred to give up for lack of time rather than defy the flames of Tartarus. She says her name is Eurydice. Another woman is on the run: she has fled her own marriage and is desperate to find a place of refuge. Cassandra, who no one listens to any more, will try to unravel the secret of the Big Bang and get us thinking about dopamine.
In Pataquès, a trio of women (and three ages of life) resolutely hybridize disciplines, seizing on the languages of theatre, dance, circus and vocal research. The project is therefore moving forward through thematic laboratories, combining each of these vocabularies over the course of the residencies, under the guiding thread of Nathalie Pernette's choreographic vision.
